IAUE Students Nominated to Serve on CISCO Advisory Board

Two diligent students of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) have been worthily nominated to serve serve CISCO advisory board.

Mr Obua Elijah, a four hundred level student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences and Department of Computer Science and two hundred level Osah Amaechi Bethel of Agricultural Science Education have been nominated to serve on the CISCO Student Advisory Board for the FY24 following their outstanding contribution and brilliant performance in the FY23 Cisco curriculum activities.

Cisco Advisory Board Member Dr Daniel Ekpah made this known in a letter he addressed to the Vice Chancellor of IAUE Professor Okechuku Onuchuku dated March 11, 2024 congratulating the Vice Chancellor for the two students who made it to CISCO NETACAD Student Advisory Board representing Africa.

While congratulating the Vice Chancellor for providing the continent of Africa veritable skilled students that will help to change the landscape of educational advancement in Africa, he added that their role is to promote the teaching of information technology in the continent and supporting the development of IT and emerging technologies programmes partnered with learning institutions around the world.

They are also to provide guidance on the CISCO Networking Academy product roadmap to optimise customer relevancy in terms of technical knowledge assessment, job role alignment and career advancement.

This will in turn provide the students and the institution the opportunity to connect to more job opportunities and technical skills for global impact.
