Twin siblings, Dr Patricia Ampofo and Dr Patrick Ampofo, celebrates their simultaneous graduation from the University of Ghana’s Medical School.

The twins, who both earned their Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) clinical degrees, described their achievement as “a testament to our hard work, perseverance, and dedication to our studies,”

The journey to their medical degrees was not without its challenges. Reflecting on their time in medical school, the twins acknowledged that the road was far from easy. “There were many challenges, both academic and personal, that we faced together,” they shared.

Despite the hurdles, the Ampofo twins remained steadfast in their pursuit of their medical degrees. They credited their success to the support of their family and friends, and their unwavering determination. “With the support of our loved ones and our determination, we were able to persevere and achieve our goal,” they said.

One of the most remarkable aspects of their journey, according to the twins, is the fact that they did it together. “We were able to pursue our dreams of becoming doctors and graduating from medical school at the same time,” they stated. This accomplishment, they said, is “a testament to our shared commitment to excellence and our unwavering bond as siblings.”

Offering words of wisdom to aspiring medical professionals, the Ampofo twins emphasized the importance of perseverance, resilience in the face of adversity, and leaning on the unwavering support of loved ones during challenging times.
