On Saturday 6th July, 2024, Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic was abuzz with excitement as the Student Union Government (SUG) President celebrated his birthday with a remarkable novelty football match at the Amazon football field on campus. The event aimed to promote unionism, sportsmanship, and communal celebration among students and staff.
Led by the SUG President, the match featured a spirited clash between the SUG Executive/Senators team and the ADP/ATP team. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as both sides displayed impressive skills and determination.
Highlights of the match included a thunderous kickoff cheered on by a packed crowd, leading to an intense game that culminated in the SUG President's team clinching a 3-2 victory, sealed by a crucial penalty shot from the President himself.
Adding to the excitement, a halftime show entertained spectators with comedy acts, interviews, and musical performances, further enhancing the festive ambiance.
