IUA and Northwest University Kano Explore Academic Collaboration

The International University of Africa (IUA), Sudan, has initiated discussions with Northwest University Kano (NWUK) to establish academic collaborations.

A delegation led by IUA's Vice Chancellor, Professor Hathem Uthman Muhammad Khair, visited NWUK on May 5, 2025, to explore areas of mutual cooperation.

The proposed collaboration includes staff and student exchange programs, reintegration of students displaced by conflict, and strengthening cultural and academic ties. Both universities have agreed in principle to formalize their relationship through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

In a related development, Northwest University Kano recently hosted a resource assessment team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to evaluate its readiness for new academic programs, including postgraduate diplomas and master's programs in various fields.

These initiatives reflect the university's commitment to academic excellence and internationalization.
