The supervisor of the 2023 Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board JUPEB Professor Uchechukwu Vincent has commended the students of the Federal University of Technology Akure for their decorum, discipline and adhering to rules and regulations during the examination.
Professor Vincent gave the commendation during a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, on Monday August 7,2023
He said their conduct is a testament to the values of integrity that FUTA is known for.
The supervisor stated that there was no incident of malpractice and all the students cooperated with the invigilators to ensure a hitch free examination process.
In her response the Vice Chancellor Professor Adenike Oladiji said that the outcome of the students behavior can be attributed to the excellent tutelage of the staff members in charge of the programme. She said they were doing a good job as loco parentis hence the resulting exemplary response of the students.
The Vice Chancellor decried the prevalent rate of malpractice which erodes the system and devalues the quality of education in the country.
She was optimistic that with appropriate measures in check the standard of education will rise again.
The supervisor was accompanied by the Director of the Centre for Continuing Education, CCE, Professor Olufunmilayo Ladipo and other staff of the Center.
