Kaduna State Government Distributes Free Sanitary Pads to Female Students of KASU

The Kaduna State Government has taken a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene and girl-child education by distributing free sanitary pads to female students of Kaduna State University (KASU) as part of its Pad-A-Girl Initiative.

The distribution, which took place on December 25, aimed to support over 40,000 female students in tertiary institutions across the state.

The initiative, launched on September 18, seeks to provide sanitary pads to female students in tertiary institutions, promoting menstrual hygiene and reducing absenteeism.

By providing sanitary pads, the initiative aims to empower girls to manage their menstruation with dignity, boosting their confidence and academic performance.

Governor Uba Sani was honored with two awards for his leadership and efforts in developing the university and promoting girl-child education in Kaduna State.

The initiative is expected to have a positive impact on girl-child education in Kaduna State, reducing absenteeism and promoting menstrual hygiene. By providing sanitary pads and education on menstrual health, the government aims to empower girls to reach their full potential.
