Kaduna State University Hosts Workshop on Digital Competency for Education Directors
Organized by System Strategic Integrated Service Limited in collaboration with KASU's Distance Learning Institute, the workshop was themed "Empowering Educational Leadership through Digital Competency."
Kaduna State University (KASU) hosted a two-day workshop on digital competency for Local Government Education Directors from October 3rd to 4th, 2024, at the NOC Hall of the KASU Computer Center. Organized by System Strategic Integrated Service Limited in collaboration with KASU's Distance Learning Institute, the workshop was themed "Empowering Educational Leadership through Digital Competency."
The event aimed to enhance digital skills among educational leaders to improve learning outcomes in Kaduna. Prof. Aminu Ladan Sharehu, Director of DLI, emphasized the importance of digital training, supported by the Kaduna State Governor. KASU Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, highlighted the need for adaptation to technological advancements in education.
The workshop included breakout sessions on e-learning fundamentals and featured presentations on distance learning, digital skills in local government education, and the use of Learning Management Systems.
