Kano State Polytechnic Strengthens Ties with Sabon Gida-Jigawa-Ja’en Community

Representatives from the Sabon Gida-Jigawa-Ja’en Community Development Association visited Kano State Polytechnic on Thursday, October 3, 2024, to reinforce the existing amicable relationship between the host community and the institution.
The delegation was received by the Deputy Rector, Dr. Muhammad Umar Kibiya, on behalf of the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, FCA, at the institution's Central Administration.
During the visit, the Chairman of the association, Mal. Idris Ibrahim Idris, expressed gratitude for having a tertiary institution like Kano State Polytechnic in their community. He emphasized the association's commitment to further strengthening the relationship and its readiness to support the Polytechnic, particularly in matters related to security.
In response, Dr. Kibiya acknowledged the visit and reaffirmed the Polytechnic's commitment to assisting the community. He highlighted the institution's employment of local hunters to enhance security measures. Dr. Kibiya urged the association to educate the youth on the importance of maintaining a good relationship with the Polytechnic to ensure mutual security and development.
The visit concluded with a vote of thanks from Mal. Magaji Rabi’u Garun-Danga, the Deputy Registrar of Human Resources, followed by a group photograph.
