KASU College of Social and Management Sciences seeks collaboration with CBN

The staff of the College of Social and Management Sciences led by the Provost, Prof. Gimba V. Kyari paid a courtesy visit to the Central Bank of Nigeria, Kaduna Branch Controller (BC), on Thursday, 31st  August 2023.

In his remarks, the Provost said the purpose of the visit was to seek collaboration in the area of research, entrepreneurship, training, and knowledge sharing between the two institutions. 

The team from KASU were warmly received by the Branch Controller, Mal. Aminu Muhammad.

He assured them that the CBN fully supports KASU and that the Branch has enlisted  KASU for some programmes such as the Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Scheme (TIES) www.cbnties.com

The BC added that the Branch is also planning to commence eNaira Campaign/Sensitization, Sabimoni and Financial Literacy in the University.

Aminu stated that CBN gives research grants in areas that have a direct impact on the economy, business, agriculture, medicine, entrepreneurship etc. in Nigeria 

He encouraged researchers to present their proposals for research grants which would go through review before the award. 

The BC reiterated that CBN will continue to seek possible avenues of mutual benefit for both institutions. 

That their doors are open for staff and students who are willing to come for research.

of the Department of Economics, Dr Miko Nuradeen, HOD Procurement, Dr Musa, HOD Accounting/Ag. DAE, Dr Usman, HOD Public Administration, and

Abubakar from the Library.
