Nasarawa State University's Vice-Chancellor Commends Entrepreneurship Development Centre's Progress

In a recent visit to the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, expressed his admiration for the remarkable progress and development achieved by the Centre under its current management.

The facility tour, which took place on Monday, 18th September 2023, included several principal officers from the university. During the tour, Professor Suleiman had the opportunity to witness firsthand the impressive work being done at the EDC.

The Vice-Chancellor specifically commended Professor Sam Baba Tende, the Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre, and Dr. Mrs. Ruth Anda, Head of the Entrepreneurship Department, for their unwavering dedication and support, which have contributed to making the EDC one of the best of its kind in the country.

Highlighting the vital role of entrepreneurship in socio-economic development and wealth creation, Professor Suleiman pledged to provide the necessary support to help the centre continue to excel. He also encouraged the EDC's management to collaborate with the Department of Marketing to market the products manufactured by the centre both within and beyond the university.

In response, Professor Sam Baba Tende and Dr. Mrs. Ruth Anda expressed their gratitude for the Vice-Chancellor's visit, describing it as an encouraging and motivating experience.

During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor and his team had the opportunity to sample Kilishi, a seasoned beef jerky produced by the EDC. They also explored various sections of the centre, including tailoring, spices production, and incubation centers situated across both the Main and Pyanku Campuses.

The visit serves as a testament to Nasarawa State University's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development within the institution and the wider community.
