According to an internal memo from Dr. Michael Saro S., Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Akanto's Grade Point Average (GPA) was found to be 2.00, below the required minimum of 3.00 as stipulated in Section 1(2) of the Electoral Guidelines and Section C(A) of the nomination form.

Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic has announced the disqualification of Honour A. Akanto from the Students' Union Government (SUG) election due to a violation of eligibility requirements.

The decision, which reflects a breach of the guidelines, has led to Akanto's disqualification from the election.
