The Rivers State Police Command has arrested four individuals regarding the mysterious disappearance of Yahaya Faruq, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in Ikuru Town, Andoni Local Government Area. Faruq was reported missing on October 14, 2024, by the principal of Community Secondary School, Ikuru Town, after he failed to report for duty.

Faruq was last seen on October 4, 2024, while serving at the secondary school and working part-time at LDM Mining Company. SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the police spokesperson, confirmed the ongoing investigation in a statement on Wednesday.

The investigation began after the school principal, Mr. Anderson Awaji Ogbana, notified the Ngo Divisional Police Headquarters about Faruq's absence.
