Kidnappers Demand N200m for Abducted Radiographer

A newly inducted radiographer, Basheerah Ojedeyi, has been abducted by kidnappers while traveling from Sokoto State to Osun State to resume an internship. The incident occurred on September 29, 2025, around 8 pm in Niger State.

The Association of Radiographers of Nigeria has condemned the abduction and described it as an attack on healthcare professionals across the country. The association's president, Dr. Musa Dambele, has urged the government and security agencies to ensure Basheerah's safe release.

Security agencies have been notified and are actively investigating the incident. The family and colleagues of the abducted radiographer have taken to social media to appeal for swift action to secure her safe return .
