KOMU Gets Approval to Commence JUPEB Program

Myschoolnews reports this was sequel to a re-accreditation visit to the university by a three-man JUPEB team lead by the Registrar/CEO, Professor Wale Okunuga held between January 24-25, 2023.
The letter to the Vice-Chancellor signed by the JUPEB Registrar & CEO conveying the approval stated,
“I am pleased to inform you that the Chairman on behalf of the Governing Board has approved the recommendation of the Re-assessment Team that the affiliation status of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University be reviewed from Interim Affiliation to Full Affiliation Status”.
This approval has been received with tremendous joy by the KOMU community which had desired the commencement of this programme to assist applicants exploit fully the benefits of increased access to university education in Imo State driven by the Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration as envisioned in the 3-R Mantra.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor I.N.S. Dozie expressed confidence that this positive development will afford prospective applicants’ another opportunity to benefit from quality and uninterrupted education and mentorship being offered at KOMU. He expressed deep appreciation to the Visitor of the institution, His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma for generous support to the sustained growth and development of the institution.
It is noteworthy that the JUPEB programme is a preliminary Direct Entry examination that places successful candidates in the second year of study in the University as an equivalent of the Advanced Level (A/L) programme conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
