Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has awarded Master Shalom Adesina of Rehoboth College, Pipeline, Ilorin, the sum of one million naira for his exceptional performance in the 2023 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Adesina achieved distinctions in all his subjects.

The award was presented by Governor AbdulRazaq during a meeting at the Ministry’s conference hall in Ilorin on Wednesday, August 7. The governor stated that the cash award aims to encourage and support Adesina’s academic pursuits, acknowledging that the student had made the state proud.

The announcement was made by the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Peter Amogbonjaye, in a statement shared on the Kwara State Ministry of Communications’ X handle (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, August 8.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Olanrewaju Rebecca Bake, urged Adesina to remain committed to his studies and take advantage of the support extended by the governor. Rehoboth College Principal, Sheidu Abdulmalik, expressed gratitude to the governor for his generosity and prayed for divine guidance in his leadership.
