KWASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh Honored with Man O' War National Excellence Award

The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, was the recipient of the prestigious Excellence Award of Man O' War Nigeria, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the organization and humanity.

The award named "Beacon For Volunteerism Award", was presented to Professor Jimoh during the 3rd National Commander's Conference and International Volunteers Day on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Nigeria Army Resource Center (NARC), Asokoro, Abuja.

The National Commander of Man O' War Nigeria, Ademola Gbenga, described the KWASU Vice-Chancellor as supportive and helpful, rendering invaluable service to the organization.

He explained that the Vice-Chancellor's contributions to Man O' War Nigeria had earlier earned him the prestigious position of the National Patron of the organization.

In his response, Professor Jimoh dedicated the award to the staff and students of KWASU, saying it was a recognition of their collective efforts towards excellence. 

While promising that the recognition would spur him to do more for the organization, Professor Jimoh noted that efforts of Man O' War KWASU branch prompted the school management's decision to pay the organisation back with support any time the need arose.
