Oluwabusayomi Ojo of the Biochemistry department emerged as the best-graduating undergraduate student with a CGPA of 4.98, while Temitope Asiyanbola of Business Administration achieved a perfect 5.0 CGPA, earning recognition as the best postgraduate student.

Landmark University Graduates 71 First-Class Students at 11th Convocation

Landmark University celebrated a historic milestone at its 11th Convocation Ceremony, themed “The Release of Pathfinders 2024.” A record 71 First-Class students were among the 617 undergraduates, 45 master’s students, 5 postgraduate diploma holders, and 11 PhD candidates honored during the event at the university’s Multipurpose Hall.  

Oluwabusayomi Ojo of the Biochemistry department emerged as the best-graduating undergraduate student with a CGPA of 4.98, while Temitope Asiyanbola of Business Administration achieved a perfect 5.0 CGPA, earning recognition as the best postgraduate student.  

In his keynote address titled *“Contribution Mentality—Key to a World of Exploits,”* Chancellor Dr. David Oyedepo urged the graduates to embrace a mindset of service and impact. He emphasized, “Your life’s worth is not measured by titles or certificates but by your contributions to society.”

Pro-Chancellor Pastor Faith Oyedepo also inspired graduates to pursue divine guidance and purposeful growth. “True greatness lies in serving others. Never be part of the problem but a solution to societal challenges,” she remarked.  

Vice-Chancellor Professor Kolawole Ajanaku highlighted Landmark University’s achievements, including its recognition as Nigeria’s second-best university in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. He credited the institution’s innovative, life-applicable curriculum for equipping students as future leaders and solution providers.

Registrar Engr. Adebayo Ajala praised the graduates for their resilience, describing them as “pathfinders ready to blaze the trail.” He urged them to continue seeking knowledge and addressing global challenges.  

In a goodwill message, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, commended Landmark’s agrarian focus and urged graduates to apply their skills to tackle unemployment, poverty, and food insecurity.  

The ceremony concluded with a luncheon led by the Chancellor, celebrating the university’s mission of transforming lives and producing impactful leaders.
