Excitement fills the air at Lagos State University (LASU) as the institution celebrates a significant milestone – securing accreditation for all forty-four (44) courses submitted for assessment to the National Universities Commission (NUC). The accreditation exercise, conducted between October and November 2023, yielded outstanding results, with 43 courses receiving full accreditation, while one course, Computer Science Education, obtained interim accreditation.

The news was announced by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, who received official confirmation via a letter from the NUC dated 6th June 2024, signed by Engr Abraham Chundusu on behalf of the Executive Secretary. The comprehensive list of accredited courses spans various fields, including Banking and Finance, Marketing, Industrial Relations, Agriculture, Engineering, Medicine, Law, and Social Sciences, among others.

The accreditation success, with a pass rate of about 99%, underscores LASU's commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.
