Lagos State University (LASU) has scheduled its 35th Students' Union General Elections from July 31 to August 1, 2024. The elections will cover LASUSU, the Students’ Parliamentary Council, and various faculty and departmental positions.

 Lagos State University (LASU) has unveiled the timetable and polling centres for its 35th Students' Union General Elections, approved by Vice Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello. The elections will span from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2, 2024, covering various offices within the LASU Students' Union (LASUSU), Students’ Parliamentary Council (SPC), and College/School/Faculty/Departmental elections.

  • Wednesday, July 31, 2024: LASUSU General Election
  • Thursday, August 1, 2024: Faculty and Departmental Elections

Polling Centres:

  1. Faculty of Arts: Language Laboratory and Theatre Arts Auditorium
  2. Faculty of Education: Computer Laboratory, Conference Room, and Tetfund Building
  3. Faculty of Engineering/School of Agriculture: PDS Classroom, Down Hill
  4. Faculty of Law: Law Library
  5. Faculty of Management Sciences: Insurance Laboratory and Julius Berger Hall
  6. Faculty of Social Sciences: Classrooms
  7. School of Communication: E-Library
  8. School of Transport & Logistics: GIS Computer Laboratory
  9. Faculty of Science: M.B.A. Auditorium (Medical Engineering & Agric.) and Shobowale Hall
  10. College of Medicine: ICT Centre, LASUCOM
  11. Collation Centre: Zenith Bank, ICT

The Provost of the University College of Medicine and Deans of Faculty are requested to ensure the availability of these polling centres, which will be operational from 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

This election is a key event in LASU’s academic calendar, providing students with an opportunity to elect their representatives for the upcoming academic year.
