LASU Prepares for Second CGNS Education Summit on Integrity and Peace

Lagos State University (LASU) is gearing up to hold the second edition of its prestigious Centre for General Nigerian Studies (CGNS) Education Summit from Monday, December 2nd to Thursday, December 5th, 2024. The summit, themed “Fostering Integrity and Peace: Tackling Corruption and Promoting Ethical Leadership in African Education,” will take place at the Aderemi Makanjuola Lecture Theatre on the main campus in Ojo, Lagos, commencing at 9:00 a.m. daily.

This timely summit aims to address the pressing challenges of corruption, governance, and ethical leadership in Africa's educational sector. The event is set to provide a platform for thought leaders, policymakers, and scholars to discuss strategies that will strengthen integrity and promote sustainable peace in educational institutions across the continent.

Keynote Speaker and Lead Paper Presenter
The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Hauwa Imam, a distinguished academic from the University of Abuja, Nigeria, with the title of FCCEAM and FNAEAP. The Lead Paper Presenter is Prof. Redwood Sawyer from the University of Sierra Leone, Freetown. Both speakers are renowned for their contributions to education and leadership studies in Africa.
