LASU Students’ Affairs Division Holds Pre-Mobilisation Sensitisation Programme for Final-Year Students
Lagos State University (LASU) organized a Pre-Mobilisation Sensitisation Programme for final-year students at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Ojo Campus, on July 8, 2024.
The Lagos State University (LASU) Students' Affairs Division recently organized a Pre-Mobilisation Sensitisation Programme for final-year students. The event, held at the Buba Marwa Auditorium on the Main Campus in Ojo, took place on Monday, July 8, 2024, and aimed to prepare students for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation exercise.

The Acting Dean of the Students' Affairs Division, Dr. Abiodun Fatai-Abatan, represented by Deputy Registrar Mr. Abdulahmeed Lawal, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of the sensitisation programme. He encouraged participants to pay close attention and utilize the knowledge shared during the event.
The programme featured presentations from distinguished speakers, starting with Mr. Olukayode Osinubi, Assistant Director of Deployment and Relocation at the NYSC Secretariat in Surulere, Lagos. He delivered a talk on the "Highlights of Pre-Mobilisation Brief to Prospective Corps Members and Expectations at Orientation Camps and Service Zones."
Mr. Claudius Akosile, ICT Desk Officer at the NYSC Secretariat, provided guidelines on "Online Registration and Other NYSC Related Issues," aiming to equip students with essential information for a successful registration process.
LASU Admission Officer and Deputy Registrar, Mr. Kabiru O. Okugbesan, addressed "Hindrances Associated with the Mobilisation Process," highlighting common challenges and offering insights on overcoming them.

Mrs. Florence Adetola-Alao, Manager of Learning and Development at Nestle Nigerian Plc, delivered the final presentation on "How to Build a Winning Résumé," providing valuable tips and strategies for crafting an impressive CV.
The Head of the NYSC Mobilisation Unit, Students' Affairs, LASU, Mrs. N.A. Yusuf, extended gratitude on behalf of the university, appreciating all attendees for their participation. The programme was well-attended, reflecting the students' keen interest in preparing for their future endeavors.
The Pre-Mobilisation Sensitisation Programme will continue on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the University College of Medicine in Ikeja (LASUCOM), with an additional session at the Epe Campus on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
