The proactive Management team of Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, recently welcomed a delegation from the Lagos Bureau of Statistics. Led by Director Mr. Tayo Oseni-Ope Bashiru, the meeting aimed to discuss potential collaboration on data collection and validation related to the university.

Prof. B.B. Lafiaji-Okuneye emphasized the mutual benefits of the proposed partnership, envisioning a symbiotic relationship where LASUED and the Lagos State Bureau of Statistics can exchange knowledge and ideas for their mutual advancement.

Mr. Oseni-Ope highlighted the purpose of their visit, intending to introduce the data management system of the Lagos State Government to the university management, fostering better data-driven decision-making processes.

The meeting witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Acting Deputy Vice Chancellors Dr. M.A. Daodu (Academic) and Dr. M.A. Shittu (Administration), Registrar Mr. Akinfemiwa Opeoluewa, University Librarian Dr. Imam Abayomi, and Deputy Bursar Mrs. Oriolowo Celina, representing Bursar Mr. Ganiu Ajose Adeniyi. Also in attendance were Director of Directorate of Academic Planning/Quality Assurance Dr. M.B Lawal, Deputy Registrar of Vice Chancellor’s Office Mrs. Sami Omolara, among others.
