Late ABSU Final Year Medical Student to Be Laid to Rest in Abia
ABSU final year Medicine and Surgery student, Favour Okpanku, who tragically passed away in a fatal accident, is set to be buried in Abia, sparking mourning in her community and among her peers.
The Okpanku family, hailing from the Mbutu Ancient Kingdom in Isiala South Local Government Area of Abia State, has sorrowfully announced the burial arrangements for their cherished daughter, Miss Favour Nwanyidola Okpanku. Favour, a final year student of Medicine and Surgery at Abia State University (ABSU), met an untimely demise in a fatal motor accident along the Okigwe-Umuahia Road in Abia State.

The accident occurred while Favour and her fellow ABSU medical students were returning from the induction ceremony of their senior colleagues. Despite initially surviving the ordeal, Favour succumbed to her injuries and internal bleeding, leaving her family, friends, and the ABSU community in mourning.

The solemn ceremony to bid farewell to Favour is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, the 27th of March, 2024, at her father's compound. The tragic loss of such a promising young student has cast a pall of grief over the community, as they come together to honor her memory and support her grieving family during this difficult time.
