Three products of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, have been honoured with the NYSC Presidential Awards in their respective states of service, in recognition of their positive impact on host communities.

Three products of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, have been honoured with the NYSC Presidential Awards in their respective states of service, in recognition of their positive impact on host communities.

The awards were conferred on July 29, 2025, at a colourful ceremony held at the Aso Villa, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented by the Minister for Youth Affairs, Mr. Ayodele Olawande.

The three LAUTECH ambassadors are:

  • Durodola Taiwo Joshua, Electronic and Electrical Engineering graduate, deployed to Nasarawa State.
  • Tella Quadri Idowu, Medicine and Surgery graduate, deployed to Adamawa State.
  • Ajewole Oluwatosin David, Accounting graduate, deployed to Plateau State.

Durodola’s contributions included inventing a temperature measuring device (T-SMART) during the COVID-19 pandemic, donating units to the NYSC Secretariat and Federal Government College, Keffi, as well as organising extra-mural classes in Mathematics and Physics for senior secondary students. He also provided technical support during the 2020 Batch 'A Orientation Course, which involved installing fans in fourteen hostels and resolving electrical faults.

The University community has described the achievement of its alumni as a reflection of the institution’s culture of excellence and commitment to societal impact.
