LAUTECH Hosts Alumnus Dr. Edison Christian, “World Best Asia Clinical Acupuncturist

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, played host to alumnus Dr. Edison Christian this afternoon, following his recognition as “World Best: Asia Best Clinical Acupuncturist Integrative Medicine 2025-2026”.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, led University Management to receive Dr. Edison, Managing Director/CEO of Mystical Rose Clinic Limited and a 2007 graduate of Plant Biology, Environmental Biology option, Department of Pure and Applied Biology.

Prof. Kalilu thanked Dr. Edison for identifying with LAUTECH “when he made gold”. He hinted that the university may explore formalising deeper study of integrative medicine, leveraging the alumnus’s expertise.

Dr. Edison also serves as Chairman, Nigeria Association of Clinical Acupuncturists; Envoy to Pan African Assembly/Peace Ambassador of Nigeria; and Assistant Secretary & PRO, Association of Catholic Medical Practitioners of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter.

Other LAUTECH officials at the brief meeting were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategy & Development) Prof. Tunde Ogunkunle; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Innovation) Prof. Dauda Araromi; and Registrar Mrs. Olayinka Balogun.

The Department of Pure and Applied Biology was represented by Prof. Adijat Funke Ogundola and Mr. Michael Popoola. Also present were Catholic Chaplaincy Chaplain Rev. Fr. Patrick Adewuyi and AIICO Insurance PLC representative, Aleksandr F.J. Oise.
