In response to observed irregularities during the ongoing Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations, the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has issued a set of strict directives to ensure proper conduct and maintain examination integrity.
The university, through Professor O.A. Adeleke, Chair of the ETTC Sub-Technical Committee, emphasized that invigilators must verify that all students who have collected their biometric slips successfully log into the examination system. Students are required to submit their biometric slips immediately after completing each examination, and no examinee is permitted to leave the examination hall without doing so.
In addition, the university reinforced a zero-tolerance policy on mobile phones. Students are strictly prohibited from entering the examination hall with a phone, whether switched on or off. Any student found in possession of a phone during the examination will face disciplinary action in accordance with the law and university regulations.
Professor Adeleke also urged invigilators to remain vigilant and fully committed to upholding the sanctity of the examinations, stressing that adherence to these guidelines is critical for fair and credible assessment.
The directives aim to strengthen examination discipline, protect the credibility of the CBT process, and ensure a level playing field for all candidates.
