Ladoke Akintola University of Technology has hosted a delegation led by the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogbomoso North, Venerable Dr. Gabriel Abiodun, in a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology has hosted a delegation led by the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogbomoso North, Venerable Dr. Gabriel Abiodun, in a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu.

The delegation, which also serves as the planning committee for the “Ogbomoso for Christ Crusade,” visited the university alongside representatives of acclaimed international evangelist Daniel Du Tiot. Members of the visiting team included Apostle Hannes Wessels, Amber Sletcher, and Revd. Hezekiah Olaniyan.

The visit formed part of engagements ahead of the crusade initiative and focused on fostering collaboration with the university community on matters of faith-based outreach and community engagement.

The university’s Christian community was represented by the Chairman of the LAUTECH Christian Community and Provost, College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, Prof. Abel Babalola Ogunwale, alongside the Chaplain of the LAUTECH Christian Interdenominational Chapel, Revd. David Olawuyi.

Members of the university management present at the meeting included the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Strategy and Development), Prof. Tunde Ogunkunle; Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Innovation), Prof. Dahud Olurotimi Araromi; Registrar, Mrs. Olayinka O. Balogun; Bursar, Mr. Olusegun Olatokun; and the University Librarian, Prof. Adefunke Sarah Ebijuwa.

The engagement underscored continued interaction between faith-based organisations and academic institutions within the Ogbomoso community.
