MAAUN pledges to support Elrazi Medical University
Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria has pledged to support Elrazi Medical University, Kano, in the area of staff training.

The Founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, made the promise when he received the management staff of Elrazi Medical University who paid him a courtesy visit on Thursday.
He said MAAUN would give the new university the necessary support it requires to enable it to stand on its own.

Prof. Gwarzo, who spoke at length on the achievements so far recorded by MAAUN, stressed the need for collaboration between the two institutions so as to promote research development.
He said Maryam Abacha American University is ready to partner with the new university especially in the area of capacity building for effective service delivery.
Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the President, Association of African Private Universities (AAPU), advised the management of the University to register with the association in view of the benefits to be derived from the association.
He explained that AAPU was established to promote networking and experience sharing in teaching and learning as well as designing a common vision for African higher education.
He also advised the university to be focused and committed towards achieving academic excellence with a view to creating a brand name for the university.
Earlier in his remark, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ahmed Osman Hassan Riziq, expressed the readiness of the university to partner with MAAUN for mutual benefits of the two institutions.
He thanked Prof. Gwarzo for his useful advice to the management which he noted would go a long way in moving the university forward.
Top Management staff that accompanied the Vice Chancellor during the visit include the Registrar, Dr. Muhammad Sani Aminu, Provost College of Medicine, Prof. Isyaku Umar and Dr. Saddiq Abdullahi Uba, Director Academic Planning, among others.
