MAAUN President Prof. Gwarzo Congratulates Diomaye Faye on Election as President of Senegal

The President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated President Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his election as the President of the Republic of Senegal.

The congratulatory message was contained in a letter personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and issued to newsmen on Friday.

While wishing the President-elect a successful tenure in office, Prof. Gwarzo prayed to God to guide and give him the wisdom to steer the leadership of the country.

 

He described the newly elected President of Senegal as a committed patriotic leader who will bring development to the country in various aspects, and charged him to be a role model for the youth in Africa by exhibiting exemplary leadership.

He noted that by winning the presidential election in the first round and at his first attempt, is a clear indication of Faye’s popularity among other candidates.

He, therefore, advised the President-elect to follow the footsteps of the pan Africanists by developing the country and promoting the African continent.

 

Prof. Gwarzo expressed the hope that President Faye would focus on the policies and programs that would impact positively on citizens while giving special attention to infrastructure development for the economic growth and development of the country.

 

“We pray that as he assumes office on April 2nd, may the almighty Allah help him to succeed,” Prof. Gwarzo was quoted as saying in the letter
