A student from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has reported an assault incident in the nearby Eziobodo community in Imo State. The unnamed student was attacked while returning from retrieving her phone, which she had been charging elsewhere.
According to her account, a man approached her, criticizing her attire and demanding she change her shorts. When she refused, he assaulted her with a cane, drawing the attention of passersby who were helplessly staring at the embarrassing scenario.
The student shared her experience through a screenshot of a chat with "Gist Central," seeking urgent assistance and highlighting the need for intervention.
