The Registrar of McPherson University, Mrs. Emi Alawode, has called on administrative staff of the University to embrace Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies as tools for improving efficiency, enhancing productivity, and delivering better services across the institution. She stressed that the modern workplace requires continuous learning and adaptation to technological advancements.

The Registrar made the call during her engagement with administrative officers. The gathering brought together both senior and junior administrative staff, including clerical officers, administrative officers, and directors, and provided an opportunity to discuss key issues relating to administration and workplace effectiveness.

Speaking on professional development, the Registrar encouraged staff to invest in self-improvement and acquire relevant skills that would enable them to remain effective in a rapidly changing work environment. She noted that the integration of AI into daily tasks could help simplify processes, improve workflow, and increase overall productivity.

She also emphasized the importance of maintaining confidentiality in the discharge of official duties, punctuality at work, and adherence to appropriate dress standards. According to her, these values remain essential to building a professional and efficient administrative system capable of supporting the University’s vision and goals.

The Registrar assured staff of Management’s commitment to their welfare and professional growth. She disclosed that Management has approved a Registry Week, which will feature a series of activities designed to promote staff engagement and development. She added that the initiative would be complemented by an Annual Registry Lecture aimed at advancing professional discourse within the registry cadre.

The meeting concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which participants sought clarification on various administrative matters and shared suggestions for improving operations within the University.
