Meet Fatima Zarruk Tukur, the Only Female SUG Presidential Aspirant, UNIMAID

Fatima Zarruk Tukur, a 500-level student from the Faculty of Law (Sharia Department) at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), has thrown her hat into the ring as the only female presidential aspirant for the Students' Union Government (SUG). She believes her capacity and commitment to serve make her an ideal candidate for the position.

Fatima has impressive leadership experience, serving as the first female Principal Partner of Nikitobi Chambers in the Faculty of Law and as a Senior Advocate of the University of Maiduguri (SAWUM).

Despite facing criticism and skepticism, Fatima remains determined, emphasizing that leadership is about service, vision, and impact, not gender. The SUG elections are scheduled for April 30, 2025, and Fatima's candidacy has generated significant interest among students.
