Meet Professor Kabiru Bala, Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

Professor Kabiru Bala, born on January 7, 1964, is the current Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria. A distinguished academic and construction engineer, Professor Bala has spent his career at ABU, where he previously held numerous positions before assuming the role of Vice-Chancellor, succeeding Professor Ibrahim Garba.
Professor Bala's academic journey began at Barewa College, Zaria. He later obtained a bachelor's degree in building engineering and technology from Ahmadu Bello University in 1985, followed by a master's degree and a Ph.D. from the same institution. With a prolific academic record, Professor Bala has authored 80 publications and has participated in many international conferences.
In his current role as Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bala continues to contribute to the advancement of education and research at Ahmadu Bello University, one of Nigeria's most prestigious institutions.
