NANS JCC Urges Extension of JAMB Regularization Deadline Amid Student Hardships

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC) for Nasarawa State has formally requested an extension of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) regularization timeline.

In a letter addressed to the JAMB Registrar and the State Coordinator in Lafia, the NANS JCC Chairman, Comrade Hauna Bramim Sale, has appealed for the deadline to be moved from August 31, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

The letter cites significant delays and difficulties faced by students due to the limited number of JAMB CBT centers across the 36 states. Students are reportedly spending 2-3 weeks to complete the regularization process, exacerbating their financial and logistical burdens amidst economic challenges.

The request seeks to alleviate these issues by allowing students more time to complete their registration without undue stress. The NANS JCC has urged prompt consideration of this appeal to ensure a smoother process for all affected students.
