Nasarawa State University Clarifies Misinformation on Student Death

The Information and Protocol Unit of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, has issued a statement to clarify reports circulating online regarding the alleged death of a student.

The university confirms that the late Shebah Rilakwo Jatau, who passed away on April 28, 2025, was not a student but the son of a staff member, Professor Benson Shedrack Jatau.

The university urges the public to disregard any misinformation suggesting otherwise. Shebah Rilakwo Jatau was laid to rest on May 1, 2025, in accordance with Christian rites.
