Nasarawa State University Receives Global Recognition for Jose Centino Centre
The university was commended at the 75th General Assembly and Scientific Congress of the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy (FEMTEC) currently held in Bran, Romania.
Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has received global recognition for establishing the Jose A. Centino International Centre for Medical Geology Research (JACMEDGEO). The university was commended at the 75th General Assembly and Scientific Congress of the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatotherapy (FEMTEC) currently held in Bran, Romania.
Dr. K'tso Ngharbu, Director of the Centre and Director of Linkages and International Cooperation at NSUK, accepted the award on behalf of the university.
He dedicated the recognition to the Senate Members who identified the need for the Centre to pioneer research in medical geology, making NSUK the first institution in the world to offer such a specialized degree program. Dr. Ngharbu also expressed gratitude to the International Medical Geology Association (IMGA) and the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS) for their support.
