SSANIP Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Chapter Congratulates New Rector

The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics (SSANIP) Federal Polytechnic Damaturu chapter has congratulated Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello on his appointment and assumption as the substantive 5th Rector of the Polytechnic.

During a congratulatory visit, SSANIP Chairman, Comrade Muhammad Umar Babi, assured the Rector of the association's partnership in promoting the betterment of the Polytechnic. He emphasized the importance of staff motivation, calling on the Rector to prioritize creating a conducive working environment.

Comrade Babi highlighted the need for provision of working materials, training, and retraining through capacity building, which would ultimately elevate the Polytechnic to greater heights.

In response, Rector Dr. Ibrahim Bashir Bello expressed his appreciation for the visit and assured SSANIP of his commitment to partnership and collaboration. He emphasized his intention to work with staff to achieve results, utilizing job descriptions and schedules to engage staff in quarterly training sessions.

Dr. Bello also reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining the Polytechnic's practical focus by upgrading equipment in workshops and laboratories.

The visit culminated in the presentation of a position paper to the Rector by the SSANIP Chairman, outlining the association's expectations and proposals for collaboration.
