BUK Best Graduating Medical Student to Receive Professor Emeritus Musa Muhammad Borodo Award

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Kano State has introduced the Professor Emeritus Musa Muhammad Borodo Award to recognize the best graduating medical student of Bayero University Kano (BUK) annually. Announced by Dr. Abdurrahman Ali, NMA Kano Chairman, the award honors Professor Emeritus Musa Muhammad Borodo for his significant contributions to medical education and practice.

The Kano State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has introduced a prestigious new award to honor academic excellence among medical students at Bayero University Kano (BUK). Named the Professor Emeritus Musa Muhammad Borodo Award, the recognition will be given annually to the best graduating medical student of the institution.

Announcing the award during a ceremony for newly graduated medical and dental students, the Chairman of NMA Kano, Dr. Abdurrahman Ali, emphasized the significance of celebrating excellence in medical education. He noted that the award is a tribute to Professor Emeritus Musa Muhammad Borodo, a highly respected figure in medical education and practice whose contributions have greatly impacted the profession in Kano and across Nigeria.

In addition to a certificate of recognition, the recipient of the award will be presented with a cash prize of 250,000 Naira, aimed at encouraging and supporting their future endeavors in the medical field.
