The Acting Director of the Awgu Community Study Centre at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr. Rosemary Ijeoma Nwofor, has urged the Awgu community in Enugu State to take advantage of the educational opportunities offered by the centre.

Expressing concern over low enrolment, Nwofor emphasized that the centre’s management remains committed to advocacy efforts to increase student registration. She addressed the community at the Awgu Egbeleli Development Union's general meeting, held at Awgu Central School, highlighting NOUN’s accessibility as a fully-fledged federal university.

Nwofor encouraged parents to enroll their children, noting NOUN’s flexible and cost-effective Open and Distance Learning (ODL) model. She also called on affluent community members to consider providing scholarships for financially disadvantaged students eager for education.
