NAUS North-East Zone Appeals to Federal University Gashua to Reconsider Suspension of 34 Students

The National Association of University Students (NAUS) North-East Zone has appealed to the management of Federal University Gashua to refrain from suspending 34 students who organized a birthday party on campus.

While acknowledging that the students' actions were unauthorized, NAUS believes that suspension is an overly harsh penalty. The association urges the university management to engage with the students, hear their side of the story, and consider alternative disciplinary measures.

NAUS argues that suspending the students would attract negative attention to the institution, discourage prospective students, and create an impression of unfair treatment. The association emphasizes the importance of fair resolution and the institution's commitment to justice and students' welfare.
