Jerome Bettis, a 49-year-old former American football star and Pro Football Hall of Famer, has completed his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Notre Dame, 28 years after leaving college to pursue a professional football career.

Returning to his alma mater, Bettis faced challenges adapting to modern academic life, noting his struggle with new technology and campus layout. Despite using traditional pen and paper while classmates used iPads, Bettis persevered, driven by a promise he made to his mother to finish his education.
