Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has announced the establishment of an annual bursary award program for students in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Each recipient will receive ₦100,000, benefiting at least 1,000 students annually.

The bursary program, funded entirely by Senator Karimi, aims to ease the financial burden on students and promote higher education within the Kogi West region. A committee composed of individuals with proven integrity, including seasoned administrators, educationists, and technocrats, has been set up to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.
