Maj Gen Ochai also advised the cadets to live within their means, treat others without discrimination, accept people based on their capacity, and strive to be exemplary leaders to the men and women they will command.

Mrs Ruth Ochai, Wife of the Commandant NDA and Coordinator NDAOWA, emphasized the importance of morals and values, especially for female Officers. She urged the graduating cadets not to compromise their principles, treating their fellow Officers as sisters and daughters when posted to their units and helping them achieve their goals. Mrs. Ochai expressed confidence in the cadets' training, backgrounds, and upbringing, believing they will excel in the field.
