Nigerian Graduates with First-Class Honors in Accounting, Sweeps Nine Awards

In a remarkable achievement, Islamiyyah Abdulateef, a talented graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, has secured a first-class honors degree in Management and Accounting with an impressive 4.90/5.00 cumulative grade point average. The accomplished student also clinched nine awards, including the title of the best graduating female student in the university.

Sharing her excitement on Linkedin, Islamiyyah expressed gratitude for completing her academic journey with outstanding success. She highlighted her accomplishments, which encompassed being the top student in Taxation 1 and 2, securing the best-graduating student award in the Department of Management and Accounting, and claiming the overall best graduating female student accolade for the university.

Despite facing challenges during her academic pursuit, Islamiyyah emphasized the importance of hard work, resilience, and dedication. Notably, she managed to balance her studies with external commitments, such as starting and completing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria examinations, tutoring at the Resolution Professional Center, and holding a role as a tax manager at the Students’ Professional Bureau of Accountancy, OAU.
