Nigerian Scholar Oluwatosin Babalola Earns Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, 4 Master’s Degrees, and PhD from UK University
Throughout his academic career, Oluwatosin garnered several scholarships and awards, including the MTNF scholarships during his undergraduate studies, the Next-Einstein Initiative scholarship at AIMS South Africa, the African Union Commission Scholarship at Pan African University, and the EPSRC SAMBa scholarship during his UK studies.
Oluwatosin Babalola, a Nigerian academic achiever, has accomplished an extraordinary academic journey by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with first-class honors, four master’s degrees, and a PhD from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom.
His academic pursuit commenced at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics, achieving outstanding academic performance. He furthered his studies with a master’s degree in Mathematics focusing on Numerical Analysis at the same university.

Continuing his quest for knowledge, Oluwatosin pursued a second master’s degree at the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in South Africa, specializing in Financial Mathematics at the Pan African University, Institute for Basic Science, Technology, and Innovation in Kenya. His educational journey also included obtaining a Master of Research (MRes) degree at the University of Bath before completing his PhD in the same institution.

With an impressive portfolio that includes research visits to over 15 countries supported by travel grants, Oluwatosin is now poised to embark on a new chapter at the University of Georgia, USA. There, he aims to contribute to the development of mathematical models for controlling infectious diseases.
