Jeremiah Abiola Fasipe, a Nigerian student currently residing in the United Kingdom, is gearing up to make a remarkable attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous ironing session. Scheduled to commence from July 1st to July 6th, 2024, at 350 Petre Street, Sheffield, Fasipe aims to iron for an astounding 155 hours straight. This ambitious endeavor has been officially approved by Guinness World Records (GWR), marking it as a significant milestone in his pursuit.
Fasipe expressed his motivations behind this challenging feat, emphasizing themes of endurance, talent, and perseverance. He sees this attempt not just as a personal achievement but also as a means to inspire young people, particularly Nigerians, to pursue ambitious goals and push themselves beyond perceived limits in their respective fields. Reflecting on his journey, Fasipe recalled his humble beginnings in the world of fashion design back in Kirikiri town, Lagos, where he developed a passion for ironing while learning the craft of making clothes.
