In a remarkable achievement, two students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Taoheed Oyewo, and Ayanwole Emmanuel, have secured the esteemed Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Award at the 2023 Global Design Health Competition held in Texas.

The duo formed part of Team Pathfinder, a collaborative effort between LAUTECH and the University of Lagos (UNILAG), which earned a spot to represent Nigeria in this international arena. The competition witnessed participation from renowned institutions such as Stanford University, the University of Michigan, and the Bangladesh University of Georgia Institute of Technology, among others.

Hosted by the Rice University Institute for Global Health Technologies, the 13th Annual Undergraduate Global Health Technologies Design Competition showcased inventive low-cost technologies designed by student teams.
