Nigerian Teen Excels in WAEC, Joins Athletic Track Club Right After Exam
After scoring straight 'A's in his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC), Egbeyemi went straight from the exam hall to the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, where he competed in the 2016 Top Sprinter Finals.
Bowofoluwa Egbeyemi, a 16-year-old Nigerian student, has garnered attention for his remarkable academic and athletic achievements. After scoring straight 'A's in his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC), Egbeyemi went straight from the exam hall to the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, where he competed in the 2016 Top Sprinter Finals.
Despite missing the regional auditions, Egbeyemi's performance in the 200m final impressed the judges, leading to his selection as the first Youth athlete signed by the Making of Champions (MoC) Track Club.
Egbeyemi's dedication to both academics and athletics earned him a 3-year Student-Athlete Scholarship from ND Western Limited, enabling him to pursue his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ibadan while continuing his athletic career.
