Northern Senators Forum Expresses Gratitude for NELFUND Initiative

The Northern Senators Forum has expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the impactful Student Loans Scheme introduced across Nigerian tertiary institutions.

In a letter dated October 28, 2024, the forum highlighted the scheme's significant benefits, noting that over 16,000 students from Bayero University Kano, University of Maiduguri, and Federal University Dutsin-Ma have already benefited.

The senators acknowledged the urgent need for enhanced access to education in the North, particularly in light of the region's challenges with youth restiveness and violent extremism.
