UNILAG Consult Board Celebrates Vice-Chancellor for Outstanding Leadership

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, received a warm courtesy visit from the UNILAG Consultancy Services (UNILAG Consult) Board on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Led by the Board’s Chairman, Professor Uchenna Nkiruka Udeani, the delegation gathered on the 11th floor of the Senate Building to honor Professor Ogunsola for her exceptional leadership and unwavering support of UNILAG Consult. The visit also doubled as a belated birthday celebration for the Vice-Chancellor, whose birthday was marked on November 14.

Expressing the Board’s appreciation, Professor Udeani acknowledged Professor Ogunsola's pivotal role in the success of UNILAG Consult’s 40th-anniversary celebrations earlier in the year. “Though a little late, they say it’s better late than never,” she remarked while presenting gifts and tokens of appreciation on behalf of the Board.

In her response, Professor Ogunsola expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Board for their thoughtfulness and commended their vision and dedication. She highlighted their contributions to advancing UNILAG Consult’s mission and emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving institutional goals.

The gathering featured lighthearted moments, including a heartfelt rendition of a birthday song for the Vice-Chancellor. Among those present were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Lucian Obinna Chukwu, and the Bursar, Mrs. Oluwafunmilola Adekunle, who is also a member of the UNILAG Consult Board.

The visit underscored the Board’s recognition of Professor Ogunsola’s transformative leadership, further cementing her legacy as a trailblazer in the University of Lagos community.
